Peer Review Policy
The Journal of Aesthetic Surgery operates a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, originality, and ethical integrity of published research.
Review Model
This journal uses a double-blind peer review system. The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
Initial Screening
All submissions undergo preliminary editorial screening to assess scope, formatting compliance, and ethical standards. Manuscripts are also screened for plagiarism prior to peer review.

- Editorial assessment based on reviewer reports

Reviewer Selection
Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, academic qualifications, research experience, and publication record. Potential conflicts of interest are evaluated before reviewer assignment.

Confidentiality
All manuscripts and related correspondence are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, disclose, or use unpublished materials for personal advantage.
Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers and editors must declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
Appeals Process
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a written justification. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and, where appropriate, an independent editorial advisor.
Review Timeline
The average review time is approximately 2–6 weeks. However, review duration may vary depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.
